How to Find Your Location & GPS Coordinates
To find your current location on a mobile device
- Open the Google Maps app on your Android phone or tablet.
- Tap the "Your location" button, which looks like a target icon.
- A blue dot will appear on the map, indicating your current location.
- You can tap on the blue dot to see your address and coordinates.
To find GPS coordinates of a specific place on a computer
- Open a web browser and go to google.com/maps.
- Find the location you want by searching or by zooming in on the map.
- Right-click on the specific spot on the map.
- A pop-up window will appear, and at the top, you'll find the latitude and longitude in decimal format.
To get coordinates of a specific place on a mobile device
- Open the Google Maps app.
- Touch and hold on an area of the map where you want to find coordinates to drop a red pin.
- The coordinates will appear in the search bar at the top of the screen.
- Tap the search box to expand the pin's details, where you can see the fully qualified GPS coordinates at the bottom.
- Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
